Life in College
I decided to write on all of my new experience's in college. I'll start off with the best part, the parties. Having no curfew and no parents nagging me is defiantly a plus. To counter that, the studying jumped from virtually zero to a couple of hours a night. The content is defiantly more in depth and if you fall behind its your own fault. Also living with a roommate is a change. Even though I have a brother and a sister, I always had my own room. Its a different experience but at the same time a fun one. Another plus is the meal plan. Having 200 swipes is amazing. I can eat almost anything that I want at any time that I want. Meeting new friends and hanging out with different people is a lot of fun too. Getting out of the high school "clicks" and away from your good friends is exciting. I love everything so far and look forward to the next four/five years of my life.

I feel much the same way. at first I was very nervous about being on my own, but now i'm loving college life. I also started with 200 swipes, and its great knowing I dont have to worry about how often I eat.
ReplyDeleteHaving roommates is a different situation for me too! Before coming to school, I have never shared a room. Now I share a bedroom and bathroom with three people I just met. I'm really glad that we all get along though! :) Good luck with everything!
ReplyDeleteI had a phobia of public bathrooms and never used them until I went to college...
ReplyDeleteWow Rommel that's really something haha. I hope you have overcame that fear, as it will come in handy at the biggest university in the nation.
ReplyDeleteI basically agree with every single thing you said Brian. I miss my mommy a little bit though.
I completely agree with loving college because the, "clicks" are pulled apart and everyone is thrown together like soup. You are almost forced to mesh with people that you would have no knowledge of had you not come to live in the dorms or join the clubs you did. My first year in college was like, "Wow I have no parent to nag me!" However, I felt a lack of structure in my daily routine. I hated the fact that my nights became later and stuff like that. I've found that college is all about self-discipline, if you have it you will survive. If not, ehh you may want to work that out. But it seems like you know what you're doing!
ReplyDeleteI thought living with 3 other people would be a pain but i actually like it. I have made pretty good friends with my new roommates and although having my own room would be nice, I am glad that my roommate situation has been working out.
