WB Prompt 2

When eating lunch today at market place, I decided that it would be a good place to write about in the prompt. The dinning hall has all kinds of food such as pizza, pasta, wraps, salads, and soups. Looking around I noticed all of the different kinds of people sitting together. I noticed the studiers in one corner, the group of friends grabbing a bite to eat in another, and finally the athletes in talking/meeting everyone.

Not only is this a great place to go to eat but it is also a great place to meet people. There are tons and tons of people there every time I go. Waiting in line for my pizza, I was able to talk to a couple of people. I told them that I was going to write this blog about the atmosphere at Market Place. They told me that they thought it was a hectic mess, and I told them that it beats being in class.

Lastly I realize that maybe I need to do this more in my life. In this fast and ever changing world, taking time to just sit back and observing my surroundings really helps. I feel like I am always trying to hurry up and get things done. As much as some of these blog post are a pain, I thought this one was worth my time.

  1. That last paragraph really stuck out to me. We get so caught up in everything, and that is so easy to do in this hectic college life. Just looking around and appreciating life and everything around us is something we should all take time to do from time to time. I actually felt the same about my blog, too for some reason. It didn't feel like such a drag haha.

  2. I think that it's really important that we take time to step back and look at the world around us. In high school we are submerged in a cafeteria setting. We sat with the same people every year, and did the same thing everyday. In college, we have a new setting. This is our new setting and we are thrown into it head first. I think its cool that to you, marketplace is actually a meeting place.

  3. I love just sitting back and absorbing everything around me. I think watching people is also something that goes along with absorbing the scenary just because you can learn so much about a complete stranger by watching them for a few minutes. I haven't been to market place yet, but I'd really like to go and see what the atmosphere is like.
